Recap: Lake Placid Dragons vs. Okeechobee Brahmans
The Lake Placid Dragons were the 22-16 winner over the Okeechobee Brahmans when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lake Placid was beaten by Okeechobee 40-13 on Friday. Lake Placid has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Lake Placid took the loss, they still got scores from Monterrius Williams and Edwin Williams.
Even if they lost, Lake Placid's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Williams and Mosley McCray who racked up four sacks between them.
Okeechobee was led to victory by Carriss Chilsom-johns and Ni'marion Bryant. Chilsom-johns rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns, while Bryant rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
Lake Placid has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Okeechobee, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Placid will take on Hardee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hardee is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Okeechobee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sebring at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sebring presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Okeechobee in Florida (Sebring is ranked 71st, while Okeechobee is ranked 350th).
