Volleyball Recap: Shadow Ridge Takes a Loss

If Shadow Ridge was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Desert Vista on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Shadow Ridge Stallions fell 2-0 to the Perry Pumas on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Stallions of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Dylan Olson paced Shadow Ridge's offense, picking up five kills. Olson got some help from Austin Kuehler and his eight assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Shadow Ridge fell to 2-1. As for Perry, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Shadow Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Brophy College Prep on the 7th. As for Perry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Hamilton on the 8th.
