Basketball Game Preview: Auburn Mountainview Lions vs. Enumclaw Hornets

The Auburn Mountainview Lions will take on the Enumclaw Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Auburn Mountainview is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

If Enumclaw heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Auburn Mountainview took over last week. Auburn Mountainview walked away with a 65-52 victory over Beamer on Friday. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Titans are ranked 94th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Enumclaw, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Decatur by a score of 67-60 on Friday.

Auburn Mountainview's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.0 points per game. As for Enumclaw, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Auburn Mountainview came up short against Enumclaw in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, falling 59-52. Can Auburn Mountainview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
