Softball Game Preview: Neoga Indians vs. Farina South Central Cougars

The Neoga Indians will head out to challenge the Farina South Central Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Neoga came up short against Oblong and fell 10-6. The Indians have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Neoga saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josalyn Brandenburg, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Emily Frankie was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Farina South Central was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of Flora by a score of 2-1.

Neoga's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Farina South Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Neoga might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Farina South Central in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
