Softball Recap: California Comes Up Short

California lost against Sheldon back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grizzlies fell 6-2 to the Huskies. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

California saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriella Cohune, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Hailey King also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

California's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Sheldon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season.

California will take on Archbishop Mitty at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Grizzlies 3.5, the Monarchs 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
