Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monticello). They came out on top against the Whitehorse Raiders by a score of 81-68 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-53 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Whitehorse had strong showings from Hyatt Thomas, who posted 21 points, and Adam Joe, who put up 19 points. The dominant performance gave Joe a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kalin Tohonnie, who had nine points.

Monticello has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Whitehorse, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monticello will face off against Green River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitehorse has already played their next game (against Red Mesa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
