Volleyball Recap: California Lutheran Takes a Loss

California Lutheran lost against Temecula Prep back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The C-Hawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The C-Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While California Lutheran was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16.

Maddie Buchberger paced California Lutheran's offense, picking up seven kills. Buchberger got some help from Sophia Ponce and her four assists.

California Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Temecula Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

California Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against San Jacinto Valley Academy on the 30th. As for Temecula Prep, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against California School for the Deaf-Riverside on the 30th.
