Basketball Recap: Jefferson Township Comes Up Short

Jefferson Township lost against Yellow Springs back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Jefferson Township Broncos had to suffer through a 85-31 loss at the hands of the Yellow Springs Bulldogs. The Broncos just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Yellow Springs found their leader in freshman Brayden Trimbach, who went 16 for 20 en route to 42 points and five assists. Trimbach's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Dylan Reed was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points and five boards.

Jefferson Township's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Yellow Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 5-14.

Coming up, Jefferson Township will square off against DePaul Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson Township is facing DePaul Cristo Rey at the right time seeing as DePaul Cristo Rey is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Yellow Springs, they will take on Miami Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Yellow Springs will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Miami Valley will have lost three straight heading into Friday's contest.
