If West Salem beats McNary with 55 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. West Salem beat North Salem on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 55-48. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Vikings are ranked 114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for McNary, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They strolled past North Salem with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 64-48.

West Salem has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. McNary's win bumped their record up to 12-8.
