Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Clawson Trojans and fell 56-12. While losing is never fun, the Abes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 544th, while the Trojans are ranked 161st).

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Clawson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will venture away from home to square off against New Haven at 5:30 p.m. on January 14th. As for Clawson, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against University at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University is on a three-game streak of home wins, Clawson a five-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
