Muscatine won the last time they faced Mt. Pleasant and things went their way on Friday too. The Muskies came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 11-8. While the Muskies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Muscatine is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 5-1-1 record this season. As for Mt. Pleasant, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Muscatine will host Pleasant Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Muskies 3.4, the Spartans 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will welcome Fairfield at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
