Hayfield waltzed into their match on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They claimed a resounding 62-30 win over the Mount Vernon Majors. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 23 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Mount Vernon lost, don't look at Rachael Sykes. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points and five rebounds.

Hayfield pushed their record up to 20-6 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. As for Mount Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.
