Baseball Game Preview: Boiling Springs Bubblers vs. West Perry Mustangs

The Boiling Springs Bubblers will head out to square off against the West Perry Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Boiling Springs wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Landon McMahon was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but West Perry ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past James Buchanan 8-6. While the Mustangs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory (which was West Perry's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. As for Boiling Springs, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

Boiling Springs might still be hurting after the 14-8 defeat they got from West Perry in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bubblers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
