Soccer Game Preview: Chantilly vs. Fairfax

The Chantilly Chargers will challenge the Fairfax Lions at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fairfax is facing Chantilly at the wrong time: Chantilly suffered their first home loss of the season on Tuesday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Fairfax didn't have quite enough to beat Woodson on Monday and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, Fairfax can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Woodson are ranked 80th).

Chantilly's loss dropped their record down to 3-3-2. As for Fairfax, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-2.
