Basketball Game Preview: Western Warriors vs. Silverado Skyhawks

The Western Warriors just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Silverado Skyhawks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Western is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Cimarron-Memorial just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 45-35 to the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Silverado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Sierra Vista 55-17. While losing is never fun, the Skyhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Mountain Lions are ranked 35th).

Western's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for Silverado, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Western strolled past Silverado in their previous matchup on January 6th by a score of 35-19. The rematch might be a little tougher for Western since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
