Basketball Recap: Washington-Marion Takes a Loss

Washington-Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Barbe Buccaneers, falling 55-34. While losing is never fun, the Charging Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Buccaneers are ranked 13th).

Washington-Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Barbe, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4.

Washington-Marion didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-8 win against Eunice on the 31st. Barbe has also already played their next contest, a 67-11 victory against Carencro on the 31st.
