Softball Recap: Chester Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Chester unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Wallkill Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Hambletonians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Wallkill has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chester will take on Washingtonville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wallkill, they will challenge Valley Central at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
