Basketball Recap: Kingston Comes Up Short

Kingston was the 51-47 winner over Roosevelt when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Kingston Tigers took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roosevelt Presidents on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Presidents are ranked 157th).

Kingston has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. Roosevelt pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Kingston will head out to take on Saugerties at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
