Basketball Game Preview: Scott Highlanders vs. Union County Patriots

The Scott Highlanders will head out on the road to challenge the Union County Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott will be strutting in after a win while Union County will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Scott turned things around against Maryville Christian on Saturday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 66-54.

Meanwhile, Union County had to suffer through a 87-58 loss at the hands of Anderson County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered against the Mavericks since December 22, 2015.

This is the second loss in a row for Union County and nudges their season record down to 8-7. As for Scott, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.

Scott beat Union County 71-63 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scott since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
