Monument Valley extends home winning streak to five

Recap: Monument Valley Cougars vs. Whitehorse Raiders

The Monument Valley Cougars came tearing into Friday's matchup with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Whitehorse with a sharp 73-48 win. Monument Valley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Nevaeh Wilson was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Precious Bedonie, who scored 18 points.

Monument Valley's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Whitehorse, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.

Coincidentally, Monument Valley and Whitehorse will both be playing Pinnacle the next time they take the court. Whitehorse will host Pinnacle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Monument Valley will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
