Baseball Recap: Hinkley Takes a Loss

Hinkley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the Custer County Bobcats, falling 17-7.

Jack Sanchez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Victor Quijada was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Hinkley's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Custer County, they moved to 8-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Hinkley will be playing in front of their home fans against Arvada at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Custer County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
