Delavan took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Peoria Heights Patriots 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won seven in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Delavan got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 14-25, 26-24.

Kara Lowry paced Delavan's offense, picking up nine kills. Lowry got some help from Addison Fisher and her 17 assists. Lowry was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Delavan has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Havana on the 26th. As for Peoria Heights, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Elmwood on the 26th.
