Liberty fell victim to Saint Francis and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Lancers, falling 7-0. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Liberty saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Jennings, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Saint Francis, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Liberty will face off against Dublin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saint Francis, they will take on Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Fighting Irish have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Lancers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
