Basketball Game Preview: Cherokee Warriors vs. Grayson Rams

The Cherokee Warriors will take on the Grayson Rams on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Cherokee sitting on eight straight wins and Grayson on 29.

Cherokee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Hillgrove 57-54.

Meanwhile, Grayson faced Lowndes in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Grayson skirted past Lowndes 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since January 3rd.

Grayson's victory was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points over those games. As for Cherokee, their win bumped their record up to 26-4.

Cherokee didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Grayson when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 68-62 victory.
