Game recap: Knoxville Catholic High School Football Team wins against Scott

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - the Fighting Irish had a big 21-point second quarter on Saturday, sealing a 35-2 victory over Scott (Huntsville, Tenn.).

Knoxville Catholic scored on three rushing touchdowns in the quarter, including two by Jermaine Buchannon.

The lead that KC took on a touchdown run by Jake Kyle with 11:00 remaining in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.

The Knoxville school had given up an average of 17.4 points prior to the contest.



The loss comes after Scott defeated Claiborne 34-12 last week. The win was a nice bounce back for the Fighting Irish, who lost to Anderson County last week, 61-40.

Knoxville Catholic (7-1) will play a non-conference game against Webb next week, while Scott (6-3) will take on Cumberland Gap also in a non-conference game.
