Baseball Recap: Covington Owls vs. Milford Bulldogs
Covington proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Milford Bulldogs 8-7. The win was nothing new for the Owls as they're now sitting on three straight.
Jeremiah Cunningham was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 15 over 6.1 innings pitched. Those 15 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.
