Basketball Recap: Battle Comes Up Short

Battle was the 44-38 winner over Father Tolton when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Father Tolton on Friday. Spartans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Father Tolton since Friday.

Battle has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Father Tolton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-9.

Coming up, Battle will be playing at home against Helias at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Father Tolton, they will venture away from home to take on Rolla at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
