Basketball Recap: Parkview Christian Comes Up Short

Parkview Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 50-10 loss at the hands of the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-6 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Elie Bstandig, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer. The dominant performance also gave Bstandig a new career-high in steals (six). Another player making a difference was Lillian Bowen, who went 5 of 9 en route to 14 points and five steals.

Parkview Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Parkview Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Brownell Talbot on the 25th. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, they will challenge East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer is on a three-game streak of home wins, East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
