Softball Recap: Chester Comes Up Short

If Chester was feeling good fresh off their 19-0 takedown of Columbia on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cyclones came up short against the Mid-Carolina Rebels on Monday, falling 11-1. The Cyclones haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Chester's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Mid-Carolina, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

While Chester had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
