Oak Ridge had already won 17 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.6 points) and they went ahead and made it 18 on Wednesday. They beat the Bearden Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 56-51. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-51 on Tuesday.

Oak Ridge pushed their record up to 27-3 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.1 points over those games. As for Bearden, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins and brought them to 28-7.

Looking ahead, Oak Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Maryville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maryville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Oak Ridge likes a good challenge. Bearden does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
