The Topsail Pirates will head out to challenge the Ashley Screaming Eagle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Topsail is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

Topsail is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals last Thursday, they were much more limited against Hoggard on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for Topsail in their meetings with Hoggard: they've now lost eight in a row.

Topsail's goal came courtesy of Ryan Dollman, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, Ashley kept a clean sheet against West Brunswick on Thursday. They blew past the Trojans 4-0. Ashley might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by three goals or more this season.

Ashley has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those ten matchups. As for Topsail, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6-2.

Topsail came up short against Ashley when the teams last played back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
