Basketball Recap: Lakota East Comes Up Short

The Lakota East Thunderhawks lost 56-33 to the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers on Saturday. The contest marked the Thunderhawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Lakota East still got an impressive performance from Brooke Asher, who posted eight points and three steals. Addyson Johnson was another key player, putting up four points.

Leading Western Reserve Academy to victory were Lilah Turnbull and Brooklyn Hall. Turnbull went 5 of 7 on her way to 11 points and five rebounds, while Hall went 5 of 7 on her way to 13 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerie Davis, who had seven points and five boards.

Lakota East's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Western Reserve Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Lakota East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-67 defeat against Mount Notre Dame on the 9th. As for Western Reserve Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-47 victory against Westerville South on the 8th.
