Baseball Recap: Westlake Drops Season-High Score on Farmington

With a playoff win on the line, Westlake rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Farmington Phoenix 14-8. The Thunder's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Lincoln Wilde, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Lafferty, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Westlake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .472. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

With the win, Westlake broke their 13-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-21. As for Farmington, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-21.

As of now, neither Westlake nor the Phoenix have any future games scheduled.
