Basketball Recap: The Pilgrim Academy Starts Season with Victory on the Road

The Pilgrim Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Veritas Christian Academy Lions by a score of 25-15. For the Pioneers, this counts as revenge for the 49-18 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Leading The Pilgrim Academy to victory were Addison Brittin and Isabella Cosme. Brittin went 6-for-10 to rack up 16 points and four steals, while Cosme posted three points and six steals. The dominant performance also gave Brittin a new career-high in shooting accuracy (60%). Another player making a difference was Moriah Parmer, who had two points and 14 boards.

Looking ahead, The Pilgrim Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Gloucester County Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they will welcome Emmanuel Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
