It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southampton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Randolph-Henry Statesmen by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. The Indians' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Levi Butler was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Jamaree Lee made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Kingston Brooks was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Southampton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Randolph-Henry, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

As of now, neither Southampton nor the Statesmen have any future games scheduled.
