Football Game Preview: North Quincy Raiders vs. Quincy Presidents

North Quincy is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Quincy a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 10:00 a.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, North Quincy came up short against Plymouth North and fell 28-20.

Despite the loss, North Quincy had strong showings from Jaylen Williams, who picked up 45 receiving yards and two scores, and Gavin Brown, who rushed for 127 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Brown has become a key player for the Raiders: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-5 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Quincy came up short against Weymouth last Friday, falling 56-35.

Quincy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for North Quincy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

North Quincy came out on top in a nail-biter against Quincy in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, sneaking past 43-41. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Presidents turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
