Softball Recap: Central Valley Comes Up Short

Central Valley managed to slip by Ceres the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hawks lost 10-0 to the Bulldogs on Wednesday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Hawks were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Central Valley and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Ceres, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Central Valley will square off against Grace Davis at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Ceres, they will challenge Beyer at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
