Basketball Recap: Wilber-Clatonia Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wilber-Clatonia can now relate to. They were dealt a 47-6 loss at the hands of the Kearney Catholic Stars on Monday. The defeat leaves the Wolverines still looking for their first win on the season.

Kearney Catholic found their leader in sophomore Danielle Seim, who posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Kearney Catholic is 3-1 when Seim posts three or more steals, but 9-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Dzingle, who scored eight points.

Wilber-Clatonia's loss dropped their record down to 0-24. As for Kearney Catholic, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Wilber-Clatonia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kearney Catholic, they will face off against Central City at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Central City will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Kearney Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
