Softball Recap: Paradise Valley Trojans vs. Sunrise Mountain Mustangs

Paradise Valley lost against Sunrise Mountain back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Paradise Valley Trojans took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs. Paradise Valley has not had much luck with Sunrise Mountain recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Danika Walker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

On Sunrise Mountain's side, Mackenzie Catalanotte made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Catalanotte was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two RBI and a double.
