Baseball Recap: Chimacum Comes Up Short

Chimacum had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 0-5 to make it nine. They fell just short of the North Mason Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Cowboys were not able to get on the board.

As for North Mason, they now have a winning record of 3-2. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Chimacum: they've now won six in a row.

For North Mason's part, their win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Calvin Rice, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Coming up, Chimacum will welcome Coupeville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Mason, they will venture away from home to challenge North Kitsap at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
