Basketball Recap: Exeter Takes a Loss

Exeter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Diamond Wildcats, falling 77-28. The Tigers lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 51-45 score last time.

Exeter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Diamond, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-1 record.

Exeter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-32 loss against New Heights Christian Academy on the 17th. As for Diamond, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Diamond Wildcats face off against the Skyline Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
