Basketball Game Preview: Houston Academy Raiders vs. Daleville Warhawks

The Houston Academy Raiders and the Daleville Warhawks will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Houston Academy will be strutting in after a win while Daleville will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, Houston Academy earned a 62-49 victory over Ashford.

Meanwhile, Daleville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 78-50 loss at the hands of Abbeville. While losing is never fun, the Warhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 49th).

The win got Houston Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Daleville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Everything came up roses for Houston Academy against Daleville in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 70-41 victory. Will Houston Academy repeat their success, or does Daleville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
