Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Northeast Rockets vs. Omaha Northwest Huskies

The Lincoln Northeast Rockets will challenge the Omaha Northwest Huskies at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lincoln Northeast's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Saturday, Lincoln Northeast earned a 71-61 victory over Fremont. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Omaha Northwest didn't have too much trouble with South Sioux City on Saturday as they won 60-46.

Lincoln Northeast better focus on containing Michael Dubose and DaWayne Kearney as the pair were huge in Omaha Northwest's win. Dubose went 8-for-12 to rack up 18 points and three steals, while Kearney went 6-for-12 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Akshay Setti, who posted nine points.

Lincoln Northeast's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.1 points over those games. As for Omaha Northwest, their win bumped their record up to 4-15.

Everything came up roses for Lincoln Northeast against Omaha Northwest when the teams last played back in December of 2021, as the team secured an 82-47 victory.
