Baseball Recap: Magnolia Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Magnolia proved they can win big last Monday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Genoa Central Dragons 4-3. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 win the Dragons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2023.

Magnolia pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Genoa Central, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.

Magnolia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-8 defeat against Prairie Grove on the 6th. As for Genoa Central, they have also already played their next game, a 6-0 loss against Shiloh Christian on the 6th.
