Basketball Recap: Blount Takes a Loss

Blount lost against Murphy two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Blount Leopards took a 47-28 bruising from the Murphy Panthers. The contest marked the Leopards' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Blount has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 12-3 Theodore and 13-5 Saraland (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65.1% over those games). As for Murphy, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Blount didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-51 defeat against Saraland on the 27th. As for Murphy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-43 victory against Theodore on the 27th.
