Basketball Recap: Gooding Takes a Loss

Gooding played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Kimberly Bulldogs, falling 59-33. The loss continues a trend for the Senators in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost eight in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Gooding lost, don't look at Fallon Millican. Despite the final result, she went 6-for-12 on her way to 15 points and eight boards.

Taya Plew continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kimberly, going 10-for-23 to rack up 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Verwey, who posted five points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Gooding now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Kimberly, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.

Gooding wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-48 victory against Filer on the 12th. Kimberly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
