Flag Football Recap: Burlingame Find Success

It's playoff time, and Burlingame had no trouble coming through when it counted. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 13-12 win over the Leland Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since September 20th.

The critical scores for Burlingame came from Haleh Ansari and Colette Uharriett.

Burlingame's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Maddy Koo.

Burlingame has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points on average over those games. As for Leland, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Burlingame has already played their next matchup (against Notre Dame), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Leland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
