Softball Recap: Del Mar Comes Up Short

Del Mar fell victim to King's Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the King's Academy Knights. The Dons just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Natalie Dixon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and eight unearned) runs on two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

Del Mar's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for King's Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Del Mar will head out to face off against Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season. As for King's Academy, they will welcome Capuchino at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be King's Academy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
