Softball Recap: East Webster Takes a Loss

East Webster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Neshoba Central Rockets, falling 14-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 12-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

East Webster saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paytan Sanders, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

East Webster's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Neshoba Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, East Webster will take on Pontotoc in a tournament on Friday. As for Neshoba Central, they will take on Brandon at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
