Kouts proved they can win big last Friday (they won by five) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Wheeler Bearcats 3-2. This was payback for Kouts, who suffered a 4-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Brooklynn Bobin and Ellie Nemeth scored all three of Kouts' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Kouts' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. As for Wheeler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Kouts will face off against Rensselaer Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheeler, they will square off against Marquette Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
